MTMC establishes animal health division, hiring of Rick Boggess as vice president of business development.

A familiar name in the human med/surg market is confident its formula for success – aimed at benefiting distributors, manufacturers, and practitioners – can be adapted for stakeholders in the animal health market.

MTMC, an outsourced sales organization operating in the healthcare space, announced it has established an animal health division which will focus on bringing innovation to the market, as well as to help their current base of healthcare customers who operate in animal health, according to a release.

“We’re very excited to launch our veterinary business, given the growth dynamics and future outlook for veterinary medicine,” said Jack Moran, who along with Dennis Snedden is a managing partner for MTMC.

MTMC’s services are designed to compliment distribution, and its sales force has worked hand in hand with distributor reps in the human medical space for years to deliver more products to customers through distribution from product categories ranging from diagnostic equipment to NSAIDs.

To help build the new animal health division, MTMC announced it is bringing in a veteran sales executive with “strong ties to the market,” Rick Boggess, who will lead business development efforts so the sales organization can “hit the ground running.” Boggess spent 8 years helping build the Vet-Advantage business, which was acquired by the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) in January of 2017.

MTMC has operated in the health market for 35 years and currently has 140 salespeople covering the United States. It is hiring a new team to manage and grow its animal health business. According to Snedden, “We clearly understand that this is a different market, with a different set of needs, and we will continue to bring on additional experienced people like Rick Boggess, who understand it and can guide us as we move forward.”
